8 Inspiring Books to Kickstart 2019

I saw a funny quote the other day saying, “The 5 days between Christmas and New Year where you don’t know what day it is, who you are or what you’re supposed to be doing…” posted on Daily Quotes, Facebook

As we reflect on the past year, and contemplate resolutions for the upcoming year, the days leading up to new year celebrations can be full of personal life questions. The gap in time and irregular scheduling can make this time of year feel especially ambiguous.

Holiday breaks and family reunions can also heighten personal sympathies. Whereas people tend to take stock of where they are in life and ask themselves uncommon questions that examine their health, happiness, and satisfaction in life. i.e. Am I happy? What am I doing? Do I like what I am doing? Etcetera.

Bigger life questions tend to surface for many people this time of year. And personal and professional priorities and passions are up for review. As I write this, it’s within the 5-day stint between Christmas and January 1. This time of year can be full of emotion. As the holiday time comes with intense personal sentiments of joy, sorrow, and reflections on the past.

No matter what day it is, or where you are on your journey of life, there are always new things to learn along the way. This is a short reading list of 8 books you may find of interest for the new year. They are full of inspiration, self-discovery, positivity, and leadership tips to help you navigate your goals for the upcoming year.
